GirlsCode program
Nationwide program to empower young girls in rural areas to pursue a career in STEM fields.
The Girls Code program in Mongolia aims to empower young girls with coding and STEM skills, particularly those from rural and disadvantaged communities. The program offers intensive three-month boot camps and aims to bridge the gender gap in the technology sector by training future female software engineers and leaders. To date, 120 participants have successfully graduated from the program. Currently, 30 girls, forming the 5th cohort of the program, are attending a three-month intensive bootcamp. The program is funded by UNICEF Mongolia and collaborating with IO institute, University of Finance and Economics.
